We encourage all parents to accompany their child for their first dental visit. This allows the child to get to know our doctors and staff with their parents present and allows the parents an opportunity to see our clinical staff in action and evaluate our overall office environment. On subsequent visits, parents may accompany their child/children back in the clinic if they desire. We find that the majority of children do better without their parents present. For restorative procedures, we encourage parents to have a conversation with the doctor regarding whether or not a parent being in the operatory will be helpful. Every child is unique and we will evaluate each situation individually.
