Digital X-rays

Your dentist may recommend taking dental radiographs (or x-rays). These help us examine areas that cannot be seen with a visual exam alone.  For example, x-rays allow us to evaluate how well permanent teeth are developing before they come in. They also help us to determine if cavities are starting in between the teeth or under the tooth surface. We practice individualized based care. Cavity prone patients will need x-rays more often (maybe once a year), whereas patients who are not cavity prone may only need them every 18 months. We use a state of the art digital x-ray system. This allows us to have very clear imaging instantaneously while utilizing much less radiation the traditional film based systems.
