We get to know your child as a person before they ever sit in the chair.
Before we ever look at their teeth, we want to know who they are. Most offices will start by asking you about insurance and medical history. While we will of course ask you those things too, we focus on first asking about what makes them laugh, what makes them nervous, what they're into right now. That information lives in their file, and every person in this office knows it before your child walks through the door.
Your child has their own dentist every single time.
Most practices rotate providers. We don't. We've served the Greensboro community since 1984, and from the first visit on, your child builds a relationship with one dentist who gets to know them personally, not just clinically. Our hope is that, over time, that relationship becomes one of the most consistent ones in your child's life.
We are all pediatric specialists and parents.
Our dentists completed years of specialty training in pediatric care, restorative dentistry, child psychology, growth and development, and trauma, which means we're equipped to handle kids with anxiety, sensory sensitivities, complex needs, and everything in between.
But we're also parents. We've sat in the waiting room. We know what it feels like to be on your side of this. That combination of specialist training and firsthand parenting experience lets us care for your child the way we'd want someone to care for ours.

We believe in building a genuine partnership with you and your child, not a transactional one. That's why your child's dentist will speak with you personally after every single visit.
Your Child’s First Visit
Before the cleaning begins, we take time to actually get to know your child: Their favorite show or character, what makes them laugh, what helps them feel calm. Then, we walk them through exactly what the cleaning will look like. We show them each tool and let them touch and explore before we ever use it, so it all feels familiar once the cleaning begins. We aim to make them feel comfortable, safe, and seen at every visit.
We most often do the cleaning in our open bay, so new patients can watch how our more experienced patients feel secure and at ease. If your child is not ready for an exam and cleaning in the open bay, we will invite you into one of our smaller, private rooms where they can sit on your lap throughout the process!
We are all skilled at connecting with children, but more importantly, we take the time to actually get to know yours. We use age and developmentally appropriate language to explain everything, encourage questions, and pay attention to what makes your child specifically comfortable.
